Support struggling families through sustainable Waqf investments for lasting impact
Waqf Foundation invests all donations in shariah compliant investments, ensuring your original donation remains. On a yearly basis the funds generated from the investment will be allocated to your chosen fund and then used for that particular cause.
The original donation remains and continues to grow, generating further funds on a year to year basis – the true essence of waqf.
The aim of the poverty fund is to support local families who are struggling with the cost of living:
- Single parent families, where through illness or disability the parent is unable to work with dependent children requiring support.
- Domestic abuse affected families who require additional support to make ends meet due to an urgent change in circumstances.
- Refugee families who have arrived in the UK within the previous 12 months andrequire initial support.
All cases will be assessed by the Waqf Foundation Project Committee and means tested to ensure aid reaches those most in need and has the greatest impact. This will include due diligence procedures, as well as regular contact and oversight from our team of volunteers.
